UKO Newtown Village is our newest boutique property launching later in 2022 in the bustling inner-city suburb of Newtown, featuring a small selection of contemporary, fully furnished private studio apartments within a tight-knit community. A suite of curated common spaces including kitchen,  lounge and outdoor courtyard areas provide residents with ample opportunity to socialise and make new friends with members of the community, or relax and revive at the end of a long day.

Newtown is arguably Sydney’s most quirky and free-spirited neighbourhood where beautifully restored 19th century terraces meet street art. This diverse suburb has a never-ending list of options to keep you entertained and public transport is made easy with both Newtown train station and numerous bus routes throughout the suburb providing you with direct access to the city and to Sydney airport.

King Street is the heart of Newtown and is a bustling shopping and dining strip littered with chic fashion, thrift stores and speciality stores like @allbuttons. Hunt for vintage treasures at the one of the many antique stores including @vintage585newtown and browse the floor to ceiling bookshelves at the iconic @betterreadbookshop which often features community events like author readings. Take a break from shopping at @bankhotel one of Newtown’s waterholes where you can enjoy a bite to eat and live entertainment on selected evenings or wander off the main strip where you can grab a tasting paddle or complete a brewery tour at the famous @younghenrys microbrewery.

If you are interested in the arts @dendy.au showcases arthouse and mainstream films or catch a community Indie production at @theold505theatre. The @enmore_theatre is Sydney’s oldest and longest running live theatre and features Australian and Intentional music and comedy gigs.

Redfern is a cultural hub. The train station will connect you to all of Sydney. Outside of the station there is much to explore… the old Eveleigh Rail Yards have been transformed into Carriageworks — a contemporary multi-arts centre and host to weekend Farmers Markets. Situated next to the airport, the train line runs through Mascot and straight into the Sydney Central Business District. A trip to Circular Quay will take you around 20 minutes. Mascot has close proximity to Maroubra Beach – only a 10 minute drive! Catch an Uber or Ola and you’ll be swimming in the sea within minutes! Mascot is new and urban; you can find top hotels with restaurants and bars, fresh apartments and office buildings. However Mascot is not just new and convenient, there are Sydney gems such as Hong Ha’s Hot Bread bakery on Botany Road; this place is known for fresh, filling and flavorsome banh-mi.
