A Home for a Lighter Lifestyle at UKO Newtown

Eclectic and overflowing with culture, we couldn’t resist setting up another UKO community in Newtown. Situated right behind King Street, you’re in the heart of this bustling town.

Perfectly suited to singles and couples, this is easy city living, with your bills all rolled up into one. If you are looking for a stylish, low maintenance lifestyle, get ready to move in.

Newtown has an established arts and foodie scene, the Courthouse Hotel on Australia Street is a local institution and just minutes away! Catch local and international gigs at The Vanguard or Enmore Theatre. You’re spoilt for choice with food when you live here. Roasters, smokers, brewers, growers, winemakers and distillers… indie bookshops and thrift shops; in Newtown you’ll never be bored or uninspired.

This is the evolution of city living; aimed at building shared experiences through community.

Meet Ophelie, your go
to person for all
things Newtown.

Originally from France, Ophelie has been living in the Inner West for the past 3 years. She fell in love with its vibrant atmosphere – there is always something to do or discover, and lots of cafes or pubs to hang out at! Her favourites are: the famous Newtown Hotel, with its pool tables and terrace and the hidden bar Earlsjukejoint down King Street – their cocktails are a definite 10/10! With previous work experiences in property management, hospitality, and summer camp management, becoming a community manager felt like the next natural step in her professional journey.

“Being part of a community resonates with me as I grew up in a small village in the South of France, where people are helping each other. From a young age I also really enjoyed going on road trips to different parts of the world, which is where I got into the community vibe in backpacker accommodations and share houses. Curious by nature, I enjoy learning about others’ backgrounds and cultures. I’m happy to share tips, good times, and (French) food with the community!”
